‘Tell me what’s your flavour…’ In our first stand alone menswear story, Isaac Brown and Alex Bainbridge consider individuality in a portrait series that looks at the varying dispositions of four young men, their drivers and desires.

What’s your type? Any woman that can call me out on my bullshit. Favourite film genre? Rom-com’s. Favourite past time? I collect vinyl. Favourite meal? Japanese. If you could work in any field what would it be? Marine Biologist. Do you have a degree or any formal qualifications? Certified charmer! What was your favourite subject in school? Sex Ed. Where are you from originally/where did you grow up? London, UK. What is your star sign? Scorpio. Favourite feature? Skin. How do you unwind? Running. What are people most surprised to learn about you? I’m not just a pretty face. What’s the silliest fear you have? Coriander! Ew! What machine or appliance in your house aggravates you the most? Any type of chair, because it means I have to sit still! Least favourite vegetable? Mushrooms, unless they’re magic. Do you have any injuries? Couple of broken hearts, but that all.

Favourite band? Don’t really listen to bands. Favourite cocktail/drink? Bourbon and coke is pretty good. Favourite past time? Going to the gym, or reading and meditating. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? Weet-Bix with carrot juice instead of milk. Was dared to. If you could work in any field what would it be? I’d work in the film industry as an actor. What did you want to be when you grew up? NBA Player/Actor. Do you have a degree? Or any formal qualifications? Currently getting my Marketing degree, also getting my Real Estate Certificate. Do you have any hobbies? Gym, reading, video games. Where are you from originally/where did you grow up? My father is in the military so grew up in Rockhampton, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra and Sydney which I have been most of my life now. I was born in Brisbane however. What’s your worst habit? Procrastination definitely. What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done in your life? Wildest was probably flying to Taiwan last minute to shoot a music video. I got a call in the afternoon and had to leave the next day. What is your star sign? I am a Cancer. Favourite kind of shoe? Can’t go wrong with Jordan’s. Favourite board game? Monopoly, the game of destroying friendships. Do you speak any other languages? Nope, I wish. Favourite thing to do with your friends? Probably just to catch up over food with deep discussions of life, future goals and the universe. How do you unwind? Netflix before bed always does the job. Favourite musical? In New York I saw Spiderman and Bring It On and both were pretty good. Favourite Disney film? Lion King, Mulan, Tarzan all of them are very nostalgic. Among your family and friends, what are you best known for? Someone with a strong value system or the ‘go to’ for advice and motivation. What are some obscure things that you are or were really into? When I was young, I was super into the Pokémon, I played every game and watched it every morning. It was literally my life. Do you have any odd talents? I was born with hyper-mobility, meaning I’m very flexible and double-jointed in nearly every muscle group. What are people most surprised to learn about you? My religious beliefs or my views on life. What machine or appliance in your house aggravates you the most? Probably the blender and how loud it is.

Favourite band? I’ve been getting around Sticky Fingers and Ocean Alley. I was late to join the party on both of them so I’ve been rinsing all of their songs lately. Favourite singer? I’m all about a performance and after watching the movie and then researching every live video on this man. It’s gotta be Freddie Mercury. Favourite cocktail/drink? Dark Velvet – Dark Chocolate, Espresso and Vodka. What’s your type? I’m the biggest story teller, so if a girl has a mad retell game. You got my attention. Favourite genre of film? I’ve been obsessed with superheroes lately, I went to the last Avengers movie by myself on the release day. Favourite past time? Answering questions. Who’s your favourite author? When I read books for school, Roald Dahl – Classic. If you could work in any field what would it be? A small one, less work. What did you want to be when you grew up? Actor, no doubt. Do you have a degree, or any formal qualifications? I actually bailed out of journalism, it was just a giant English class. What was your favourite subject in school? Home time. Where are you from originally/where did you grow up? On the Gold Coast baby! What’s your worst habit? Biting my nails. Favourite cartoon? Rick and Morty. Favourite animals? We do not deserve dogs. Favourite dessert? Cookies and cream ice cream with Milo on top. Do you speak any other languages? I’m trying to learn Italian, bellisimo! What are some obscure things that you are or were really into? I love gaming, could spend days in another world. What’s the silliest fear you have? TOADS. What machine or appliance in your house aggravates you the most? Dishwashers, like either work or don’t.
MATTHEW
Favourite band? I don’t have a favourite band. I’m a big EDM fan. Favourite cocktail/drink? Espresso Martini or Negroni. What’s your type? Tanned skin and dark features – I have a thing for brown eyes. Favourite movie genre? Thrillers and comedies always. Favourite meal? You can’t go wrong with a homemade spaghetti bolognese. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? A Scorpion in Thailand. Favourite literary genre? Crime Fiction. Who’s your favourite author? Eckhart Tolle. If you could work in any field what would it be? I wouldn’t change my field. The creative world is very open to expression with no limitations, which resonates with me. What did you want to be when you grew up? A dentist until the age of 16, then I became interested in the creative industry and haven’t looked back. Do you have a degree or any formal qualifications? I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce at Macquarie University. What was your favourite subject in school? Weirdly enough, I really enjoyed Chemistry even though I was horrible at it. What’s your favourite style of dance? I find myself bopping in the club as my go to dance move. I haven’t danced properly since I was young when my mum put me into hip hop classes. Where are you from originally/where did you grow up? On the Northern Beaches of Sydney in Avalon. What’s your worst habit? Stressing over small things. What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever done in your life? Jumped out of a plane and ridden the world’s tallest roller coaster. Favourite animals? An Eagle. What is your star sign? The air sign, Aquarius. Favourite dessert? Sticky date pudding with caramel sauce. Favourite kind of shoe? Black Saint Laurent boots. Favourite board game? Monopoly. Do you speak any other languages? Although not 100% fluent, I can speak and understand German. Favourite thing to do with your friends? Hikes through the National Park, exploring new places. Morning coffee and long drives. How do you unwind? Laying on the headland overlooking Avalon Beach. Favourite musical? I rarely go to musicals – once in a blue moon. Although, Aladdin was mind blowing. Favourite Disney film? Pirates of the Caribbean. Among your family and friends, what are you best known for? Being the one to make people laugh and not being too serious. What are some obscure things that you are or were really into? I love rollercoasters, high thrill experiences and taking risks. Do you have any pets? If so what is their name/names? We recently got a miniature Dachshund named Romi. She’s the runt, therefore extra tiny and the biggest sook. Where do you like to spend time? When not working or at home At the beach, cafe or in nature. What are people most surprised to learn about you? That I don’t like eating eggs or olives. What’s the silliest fear you have? Not seeing enough of the world in my time on earth. What machine or appliance in your house aggravates you the most? The washing machine and the sound it makes. Least favourite vegetable?
